BOA™
On low horsepower locomotives the BOA™ (Bolt On Adhesion) system can provide significant improvement in tractive effort. BOA can be applied to locomotives with 2,000 HP or less that are equipped with a DC main generator.

NEXSYS™ III-i
For higher horsepower locomotives with AC alternators, NEXSYS III-i provides a complete microprocessor based tractive effort solution. In addition to a 25-30% tractive effort improvement over Dash 2 systems, NEXSYS III-i provides many other benefits such as increased reliability, reduction/elimination of high maintenance components and diagnostics capabilities.
